Internet Casino Sucker Bets — Part 2

  • Progressive side wagers: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker commonly have one of these. You generally place a wager ($1 is the normal value) to attempt to win a bonus jackpot that could reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Although big jackpots like these are very appealing, they’re also incredibly difficult to win. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this bet. Also, think about this- you wager 20 hands and lay the side wager each time. That is 20 dollars you could have used towards the actual game bet in place of a sucker bet. Picture what you might have been able to win at a wager with more favorable odds using that twenty dollars.
  • Individual number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 zeroes on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has just one. This takes the complete casino edge from 2.63percent with one zero wheel to a whopping 5.26percent in American. The one number wager has only a one in 38 chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets instead which have a much smaller casino edge.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you play it, the house edge can be a huge twenty-five percent. Yes, that isn’t a error. Due to the huge amount of numbers you have to pick, it isn’t advisable to play Keno very much. A few times for enjoyment, perhaps. But do not waste all your cash on it or you will immediately find yourself broke.
